The brand new Report Editor Module*, introduced alongside the release of v4.0, gives you the ability to create fully customisable reports or amend system generated ones, a feature our development team have been working hard to deliver and one that so many users had requested - and it's finally here...
Adding the Report Editor Module to your toolset means you will be able to

Creating reports with Report Editor means you can create fully branded reports and save them for later use as a 'template'. You are able to style your reports (including your own fonts, logos and colour schemes) for a more professional look and feel - setting you apart from your competition. Change to the Asset DB licence structure
Over the next few weeks you will notice a change to the names of the core Asset DB modules and the licence structure. This applies to all NEWLY purchased licences, or on renewal of existing licences.
We took the decision to restructure the toolset to better reflect the job roles using the individual modules - allowing you to see and choose the best licence(s) for your needs.
The NEW Structure and Module Licence
- Auditor
This licence offers the starting point for all projects. A compact and intuitive tool to create projects, import floor plans and data and then plot assets, department zones and any other useful data. - Analyst
All of the capability of the Auditor licence with the added ability to take your project to the next level by analysing the financial and environmental impact of a customer’s print fleet using our TCO and Environmental Impact calculators and generating system reports to display your analysis. - Architect
In addition to the Auditor and Analyst functions, Architect allows you to take the current state data, analysis and the associated reporting company's current and future state to generate a future state solution. - NEW! Report Editor
This new module - available for both Analyst and Architect licence levels - allows you to create custom reports to meet both your company's branding guidelines as well as client specific results. Further information can be found above.
Improved System Reports
The system generated Print Assessment Summary and Future State Proposal reports have been updated with a new and much cleaner feel.
Reports can also now be run in a variety or formats including PowerPoint, PDF and Word.

Improved Menu Structure (more intuitive)
The menus within the Asset DB software have been restructured into a more intuitive arrangement to help you as a user find the actions and options you want more easily.
Each menu item has had mnemonics added for easier menu navigation when using the keyboard
We have also introduced short cut keys for the most commonly used functions. These short cut keys are in line with other commonly used programs such as Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V for copy and paste.
The delete key has now been enabled to function within Asset DB.

TAKE NOTE!
...and then add it to your floorplans...
Forget the notepad...!
Put down your pens...!
This fantastic new feature for Asset DB enables you to add notes directly to your floor plans.
You can now include a comment about a project or floor to act as a reminder or to communicate between project users.
The function includes connecting lines from your notes to relevant locations on your floor - such as assets or department zones - to help further explain your point, or just as a reminder to you!

Improved User Data import process
Importing User Data files is now in line with the Lookup and External Data import wizards, giving a standardised process among all external data imports offering a wider spectrum of data file types that can be imported.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Adjusting floor plans on Import
Asset DB will now help you adjust floor plan images when importing them into a floor; you will be able to:
- Rescale a large file
- Turn a colour image to gray-scale and
- Rotate an image.
This will allow consistency across floor plans within a project as well as smaller file sizes to allow for optimised use of Asset DB.

Depreciate the value of a purchased asset to 'zero' in TCO
Analysts using the TCO Module will now have the option to choose if a device should continue to depreciate in value relative to its age, or whether it should depreciate to zero after that period on all devices which have surpassed their write-down period. This will further enable you to be in line with your customer's accounting procedures.
