Customising project consumables
The Asset DB TCO server makes it easy for you to access tens of thousands of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) consumables. On some occasions however, it may be necessary to use a non-OEM part or to add a consumable that is not currently available, and with 4.1 you can do just that.
Additional consumables can now be created and stored as local consumables which means any TCO calculations can now truly reflect all consumables being used and more importantly exactly which models and part numbers are being used. The ability to store the information also means this database of local consumables can then be used on future TCO calculations across all projects.
-
Excluding Consumables
Not only can you now add local consumables, but with 4.1 it is also now possible to exclude consumables from a calculation.
Whether it is to make way for a Third Party Consumable or to remove consumables covered under contract, you now have further flexibility to completely reflect your customer’s financial situation.
Enhanced TCO & Green Calculations
-
Import/Export TCO and Green Calculations
TCO and Green calculations can now be exported from Asset DB. This means calculations can be stored outside of Asset DB as an additional backup and will also allow the calculations to be passed to other Analyst and Architect licence holders. So, whether a project is completed and just a backup required, or needs handing-over due to leave, the TCO and Green calculations can now be part of that hand over.
The exported TCO or Green calculation can then be re-imported either straight back into the project stored locally, or into a version of the original project that has been synchronised from the Enterprise Server.
-
TCO/Green Calculation explanations are now exportable
The device-specific explanation window that shows the full description of the values, assumptions and information used to calculate the TCO or environmental impact can now be exported into HTML format.
This can allow the file to be added into reports and presentations to show your customers even more detail about their fleet and the financial and environmental impact of it.
Multiple Highlight/Hide Filters
The highlight/filter function has been vastly improved to allow multiple highlights and filters to be active and also to enable multiple criteria to determine a single filter. Including the criteria window seen in Report Editor, a criterion can be set against any field within the project’s icon customisation also giving you full flexibility around the conditions of those criteria.
