What’s new in Asset DB v4.4
Focusing on improved usability and increased productivity Asset DB v4.4 is available now. Some of the outstanding features are:
External Data Import
Helping streamlining users’ project setup process, it is now possible to import Site, Building and Floor information when importing External Data via .csv to Asset DB. The import mechanism will create any Sites, Buildings and Floors that do not already exist in the project. New assets will then be located and existing assets will be relocated using this imported information.
Also available upon import of External Data is the ability to specify the format of any dates being imported.
Data Preparation Enhancements
The in-built data quality assurance within Asset DB has been extended to the Data Preparation tab with the introduction of warnings when asset meter reading data is insufficient. Error symbols will be shown for assets with no meter readings, not enough meter readings/dates or inconsistent or hidden meter readings
Other enhancements within the Data Preparation tab include the ability to jump to an asset in the current state floor map from the Data Preparation table, the ability to add additional columns of data to the table and search capability.
Floor Map Improvements
To further aid with quality assurance and to prevent possible rework, users will now receive a warning when importing a new floor plan to Asset DB onto a floor which already has plotted assets.
In addition, to avoid projects becoming uncontrollably large, floor plan images that are larger than the recommended size will be auto-resized to usable dimensions.
To improve navigation throughout Asset DB search and sorting capabilities have been extended to even more areas of the software. This includes the organise Projects, TCO Analysis, Green Analysis and Solutions windows as well as the project tree structure to search for Sites, Buildings and Floors.
